The London Fire Brigade is to spend up to £500,000 on a technology tool to record a range of incidents including “near misses” and other “safety events”.
The brigade’s commissioner has posted a contract notice seeking a “reporting e-solution”. The organisation is seeking a software tool through which it could log a range of incidents considered “safety events”.
This includes “injuries, vehicle events – including road traffic collisions) – environmental incidents, near misses and instances of contamination”.
The brigade is seeking to award a five-year contract, scheduled to begin on 5 December. The winning bidder will receive a deal worth an estimated £460,000.
Bids for the work are open until 29 June.
