London boroughs team up to roll out £1.7m hosted housing management platform

Wandsworth and Richmond pick Northgate to deliver software

Two London boroughs are teaming up to implement a £1.7m hosted software platform to manage their housing.

Local authorities in Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth will work with IT firm Northgate Public Services to install the system, which is scheduled to go live in April 2019. Northgate will then manage the platform for a contracted term of just over two years, with the boroughs retaining the option to renew the deal.  The worth of the deal to install and maintain the system is estimated at almost £1.7m.

Between them, the two authorities manage a total of 32,000 properties, covering 16,459 tenants and 15,609 leaseholders. The neighbouring boroughs – which border at Richmond’s north-eastern edge and along the western boundary of Wandsworth – have a cumulative population of more than half a million people.
