Gloucestershire County Council wants to capitalise on the potential of data analytics and is seeking to form a long-term partnership with a specialist supplier.
The local authority said that it wants to work with a supplier that can help it to “inform and shape a strategy influencing and enabling cultural change through analytics and development of insight products”.

The chosen firm will be tasked with designing “a range of analytical tools and intelligence insights” using the Microsoft Power BI platform. The company – which will be seen by Gloucestershire as its “data partner” – will also be expected to “facilitate data management capacity and capabilities to support the analytics platform”.
The council hopes to enter into a four-year contract with a specialist provider in early November. The deal is expected to be worth about £580,000 over its lifespan.
Bids for the contract are open until 6 September.
