Two senior appointments announced

NHSX has added to its senior management team with two high-profile appointments.
The organisation’s inaugural chief executive Matthew Gould announced on Friday that Simon Eccles, who is the chief clinical information officer for the entire NHS, will also serve as deputy CEO of NHSX.
Hadley Beeman, who has been chief technology advisor to Matt Hancock since shortly after he took office as health secretary, is to join the new NHS tech organisation as acting chief technology officer.

“I’m thrilled to be joining NHSX as acting CTO,” she said on Twitter. “We have a lot of work to do to get our systems talking to each other (standards and APIs) and get patient info to where they need it most (user needs). I’m joining a brilliant team and can’t wait to get stuck in!”
Gould added that he was “delighted to announce two important appointments”.
“We are building a great team, and will be recruiting more soon,” he said.
The creation of NHSX was first announced in February. The organisation will, effectively, sit above NHS Digital and hold responsibility for digital, data, and technology strategy across the health service. Its key objectives over the coming months will include the creation and enforcement of both technology standards and spending controls.
