Organisation offers £130k for director of DDaT

The National Crime Agency is seeking a director of digital, data and technology to oversee the organisation’s drive to replace legacy technology with digital platforms and agile ways of working.
The role, which will be based at NCA headquarters in London’s Vauxhall district, offers an annual salary of £130,000 and comes with responsibility for leading an organisation of 200 DDaT professionals. The successful applicant will form part of the NCA’s senior leadership team, and will report into director general of capabilities Nina Cope.
“You will be responsible for shaping and delivering our digital, data and technology strategy, leading our transition away from legacy technology stacks and ways of working to deliver agile, digital, data and technology platforms, products and services that truly enable our organisation,” the NCA said.

It added: “Continuity of outstanding service delivery is a baseline expectation upon which you’ll build significant capability and work in partnership with stakeholders throughout our organisation to understand and respond to their requirements, whilst also securing an appetite for innovation and support for a roadmap that will support their respective functions.”
Candidates must possess “experience of defining and delivering technology enabled change in an analogous organisation of similar size, scope and complexity”. Also required is evidence of having previously led tech implementations that improved productivity or created cost savings at a large organisation, as well as “experience of running and improving live services in complex business environments”.
Applications for the role are open until midnight on 16 June, by which time candidates must submit a CV, statement of suitability of up to two pages in length, and a completed diversity monitoring form.
Once NCA managers have drawn up a shortlist, recruitment firm GatenbySanderson will conduct premlimiary interviews, which will be followed by an assessment that will include psychometric tests and an engagement exercise.
Final interviews will take place in London on 25 and 26 July.
