Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking to implement technology to manage the booking of appointments and citizens’ contact with the authority’s registrar’s office.
The authority has issued an early-engagement notice outlining its intention to identify “an online system for booking appointments and recording contacts with customers to replace the existing paper-based system” used by office staff.
“The initial stage of this exercise is pre-procurement engagement to assess the state of supply of suitable systems,” the notice said.
Firms that respond with an expression of interest will be invited to attend a question-and-answer session with employees from the registrar’s office.
After the early-engagement process is complete, the council will decide whether to press ahead with a full procurement. If it does so, Bradford expects to seek a sign a five-year contract with its chosen supplier.
