Salary of £90k on offer for role ensuring security of government transformation

GDS-based post comes with remit to adapt service standards and best-practice guidelines

The Government Digital Service is offering up to £90,000 for a senior manager to ensure that the “government’s transformation remains safe and secure”.

The role of head of transformational security, which will be based at GDS headquarters in east London, comes with a remit to “take the lead in developing security-related cross-government digital standards and models, and engaging with departments on the security of transformed services”.

The post will involve cybersecurity and anti-fraud measures, and advice, and best-practice structures in a manner that ensures secure transformation. Such changes will then be integrated into the GDS Service Manual, Digital Service Standard, and the Technology Code of Practice.

The chosen candidate will report to GDS’s head of security. Applications are open until 22 July, with interviews scheduled to commence on 30 July.
