City’s local authority seeks provider for five-year contract

Cambridge City Council has issued a tender for a “cashless parking solution”.

The authority is seeking to appoint a firm to a five-year contract for the provision of technology that enables citizens to pay for using pay-and-display car parks across the city. The platform must deliver a range of mobile and online payment options.

“Cashless parking sessions will be booked via smartphone app, text, phone, and web,” the contract notice said.

The council is seeking to award a deal beginning on 1 October 2018 and lasting until the end of September 2023. The estimated worth of the deal.

The council currently works with cashless parking firm RingGo, which provides smartphone payment options for registered users at various facilities across the city.
