Role comes with £90,000 salary

HM Courts and Tribunal Service is seeking a digital programme director to oversee a programme of technology-based service reform.
HMCTS is in the midst of a transformation programme to increase its ability to operate as an online court. The organisation has established a Digital Change Directorate, and is now seeking to appoint a leader to oversee its work.
The digital programme director will be tasked with ensuring work is delivered to monetary, temporal, and quality specifications. The role also comes with a remit to help drive “cultural and behavioural change” across the wider courts system, as well as working with partners from the Ministry of Justice, the Treasury, the Cabinet Office, and the Major Projects Authority.

The successful candidate will be required to “lead, inspire, and shape multidisciplinary teams” across HMCTS. The post, which will be primarily or entirely based at the organisation’s head office in Westminster, comes with an annual salary of about £90,000.
“The introduction of new, straightforward digital services will make courts and tribunals more accessible, while new types of virtual hearing will allow us to make better use of better-maintained buildings in which our smaller staff will be doing very different jobs,” said HMCTS.
Applications are being accepted until 28 January. After a shortlist has been decided upon, first-stage assessments and discussions will take place in the two-week period beginning on 12 February, with final interviews slated for the week commencing 26 February.
