The Greater London Authority is looking for a technology supplier to help it analyse the findings of exercises conducted via city-simulator platform next year.

Using technology and expert input from Greenwood Strategic Advisors, the GLA has developed a London simulator – a technology platform it aims to use to help guide investment decisions. The authority has now issued a contract notice seeking a supplier of “system dynamics” software to help it best analyse the findings of various simulation exercises that will be conducted using the platform.

The chosen software provider will also be expected to report back on findings from the simulator project, by providing reports to the GLA “and its European partners”, the notice said.

Having simulated various scenarios and analysed the results, the successful supplier will be expected to be able to share their findings in “forms readily accessible to, and understandable by GLA and other decision-makers, internal and external subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders”.

Bidders have until 16 January to submit their bids, with a contract due to go live on 18 February and last for six months. The GLA has set aside £210,000 to spend on the project, and expects the rollout of the software to be completed by the end of April.
