The roles, both of which pay £90,000, are part of the department’s digital and technology team and are part of the MoJ’s push to radically reform its digital offering. The department has recently pledged to ensure that staff are no longer using outdated legacy systems, as well as moving to digitise a number of its services and make better use of digital technologies.

The deputy director of digital delivery will be responsible for managing the digital and technology team’s £10m budget for digital services to rebuild the digital delivery functions in the department.

“They will ensure that the department fully realises a bold digital agenda by providing a team of professionals that are fully familiar with the products and technologies they are delivering, and by forging key relationships with their counterparts in MoJ’s executive agencies,” the job specification said.
