G-Cloud 8 set to go live in August

The GDS said that it had made some changes in response to a number of questions about the G-Cloud 8 framework agreement and call-off contract.

As such the deadline has been extended by two days.

The new versions of the framework agreement and call-off contracts can be seen by suppliers in their Digital Marketplace accounts, the GDS said.

G-Cloud 8 is set to go live in August.

Previously, the GDS had acknowledged confusion around G-Cloud 7 and said that the G-Cloud 8 documents would be “shorter and clearer”.

Although the G-Cloud 8 application process will be the same as previous iterations, the Digtial Marketplace team has said it was considering scrapping the current four G-Cloud categories – Infrastructure as a Service, Platforms as a Service,  Software as a Service and Specialist Cloud Services – and would work out whether to make those changes for the G-Cloud 9 process.
