Institution looks to award £3m contract to expand technological offering

Coventry University is seeking to expand its online learning offering and create worldwide demand for the qualifications it offers digitally.
The institution has published a contract notice seeking a commercial partner to help it “grow the learner numbers for existing and new courses… [and] create and develop a global market for distance online qualifications delivered by Coventry University”.

The winning bidder will be expected to implement a “sector-leading student and learning experience” over a wide array of courses. It will also be tasked with promoting innovative new methods of working, as well as cultivating “a long-term delivery model which is scalable, efficient, effective and continuously improved”.
The university is looking to enter into a three-year contract worth up to £3m to the chosen supplier. If Coventry then takes up the option of two additional two-year extensions, then the total value of the engagement may rise to £10m.
Bids for the contract are open until 31 July, with an agreement scheduled to be signed on 20 December.
