NHS awards third digital deal for £150m suite of online vaccination services

Over the past six months, the health service body has agreed a trio of agreements covering the delivery of online services, with the latest deal covering maternity and child inoculations

NHS England has awarded a £30m-plus contract for the provision of digital services related to the delivery of vaccinations of pregnant mothers, babies and young children.

The engagement takes the organisation’s spending on deals for “digital prevention” services to a total of more than £150m over the past six months.

On 2 March, the health service is due to enter into an initial three-year agreement with London-based tech consultancy TPXimpact. The contract is valued at £33.6m, according to a recently published commercial notice.

The is intended to address the NHS’s need for a “digital delivery partner to support objectives within the Digital Prevention Services portfolio which will include the services currently provided in the Vaccinations Digital Service”.

The latest deal relates to the online services that support vaccinations for pregnant women, new babies and mothers, and school-aged children. The supplier will also provide support for the NHS’s Child Health Information Services, which operate at a regional level and provide organisations in the area with a record collating data on a child’s vaccinations and other interactions with health services.

The maternity and child vaccinations digital deal is the third such agreement awarded by NHS England in the last six months.

In August 2025, the health service signed a £78.4m two-year engagement with supplier Aire Logic to cover the operation of digital tools supporting “adult and seasonal” variations.

“The services to be provided… will enable the national invite service for seasonal vaccinations and relevant catch-up campaigns, to ensure eligible individuals are invited, and development of the Book an Appointment, Find a Vaccination Service, Manage my Vaccination Appointment and National Invitation capabilities”, the accompanying procurement notice said.

Another 24-month contract, worth an estimated £45.2m, began in September. This deal, which was awarded to Kainos, related to tech support for “emerging and cross-cutting” vaccination services, and the Digital Health Check launched nationwide in 2024.

The cumulative worth of the three deals for “digital prevention” services is £157.2m.

The awarding body of the trio of contracts, NHS England, is to be abolished and largely subsumed into the Department of Health and Social Care, in a process due to conclude by March 2027.
