Home Office recruits 13 senior technology roles  

Hiring drive for roles in grades 6 and 7 with salaries up to £80,520, depending on location

The Home Office is advertising 13 senior digital, data and technology roles at grades 6 and 7, paying between £61,000 and £80,520 with closing dates in mid or late September. 

The roles include six principal technical architect posts in Croydon, Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield, with grade 6 salaries of £69,200 to £80,250 depending on location. These involve defining and agreeing the technical strategy for an area of work, recommending technologies and improvements, and leading the design and review processes for what is introduced. Applications close at 11.55 pm on Tuesday 19 September. 

The department is advertising four further grade 6 roles with the same salary bands, including a lead user researcher in its data services and analytics team. The role will focus on user-centred products and services and will be based in Croydon, Manchester or Sheffield.

The Home Office is also looking for a lead technology delivery manager based in Croydon, Manchester or Southport; a principal data architect based in Croydon, Liverpool, Manchester or Sheffield; and a principal infrastructure engineer based in Liverpool, London, Manchester or Southport.  

The government department is also advertising three grade 7 jobs in Croydon, for a lead test engineer, a senior technology delivery manager and a business change and engagement lead for police and public protection technology, all with salaries of £61,000 to £67,100. 

The jobs are open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth and most European nationalities and require a security check level of vetting. Applications for the roles, advertised on the Civil Service Jobs website, close between Sunday 10 and Sunday 24 September.
