Surrey County Council is seeking a “digital transformation partner” that can help review and accelerate existing plans and programmes for change.

The authority is seeking to engage an external provider for a contract of between three and eight months in length. The chosen firm will have two key areas of focus, the first of which will be “reviewing existing change plans by applying ‘digital’, ‘data’ and ‘agile working’ lenses”, Surrey said.

Having done so, the transformation partner will be asked to “identify opportunities and the value to implement new service designs, solutions and/or working practices within existing council transformation programme”.

The second area of focus will be to lead workshops dedicated to exploring how the use of digital, data, and agile methods can best support other initiatives and programmes – such as the council’s Surrey Health and Wellbeing strategy.

The chosen supplier, who is expected to be awarded a contract worth between £80,000 and £100,000, will work with the authority’s internal IT and digital staff.

Bids for the work are open until 22 May, and Surrey expects to evaluate four suppliers.
