Socitm has released its annual list of the best developed local authority websites in the UK, with 10 brand new entries.
The professional body for public sector ICT professionals produces the list from ratings given by a panel of reviewers.
The reviewers marked 453 local authority websites on the ease of completing nine common tasks, with the top 19 listed below achieving a minimum standard in all of the tasks.
The report said: “There is, of course, an element of subjectivity in this, and there may be other sites that are just as good in their own way. It is also true that the scope of the survey does not allow us to say which sites are the best used or the most valued by their visitors.
“But what we can say for sure is that all the top 20 sites have something special and are worth a look.”
