Sussex NHS trust floats £18m deal for IT refresh and managed service

Organisation seeks to sign partner to five-year deal

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a partner to deliver a complete refresh of end-user computing devices and the support the organisation over the course of a five-year comprehensive managed services engagement.

The organisation has published a contract notice for a five-year deal worth an estimated £18m to the winning bidder. The contract will cover an upgrade of all desktop and laptop devices, including moving to Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 2019 across the board.

Over the course of a five-year IT service management (ITSM) deal, the supplier will be tasked with providing an on-premises helpdesk, as well as a digital portal and telephone support. The IT firm will also be expected to provide services including asset management, device tracking, maintenance services, implementation of new software and hardware, and assorted professional services, such as consultancy.

The contract applies to all of the trust’s 60-plus sites across East and West Sussex, hospitals, mental-health facilities, and community-health centres.

Bids for the project are open until 16 April, ahead of a scheduled start date of 4 May.
