Met Police awards £250m hosting and end user services contracts
London’s Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has awarded two separate ICT contracts worth a combined £250m to supplier CSC Computer Services.
The capital’s Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime announced this morning that CSC has been appointed for a six year contract worth £94.7m to provide hosting services.
In addition, the firm has also scooped a five year £155.2m contract to supply end user services.
An announcement by the office said that the contracts will be available for use by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and its delivery bodies the London Development Agency (LDA), London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) and Transport for London (TfL).

They will also be available to other police forces across the United Kingdom.
Both contracts are part of the Total Technology Programme Infrastructure (TTPi) instituted by the MPS to implement a service tower operating model for ICT services.
The hosting contract covers services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
The end user services contract covers managed desktop services, storage, local print services and office LAN support.
