DSIT and DESNZ IT unit signs £7.5m laptop deal

Integrated Corporate Services unit, that works across agencies to provide various shared procurement exercises and other services, has signed a major vendor to a contract of up to two years

The joint unit overseeing IT and other services across the technology and energy departments has signed a multimillion-pound deal for the provision of laptops and related items.

Working on behalf of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) has entered into an initial one-year engagement with Dell. During this opening 12-month period, the deal – which came into effect on 18 March – is expected to be worth £5.5m to the PC vendor.

If ICS chooses to take advantage of a potential one-year extension, an additional £2m will be spent, newly published commercial documents indicate.
