Non-Governmental Organisations

Non-governmental organisations (NGO) are legally constituted, non-governmental organisations that have no participation or representation of any government, and include quangos and third sector bodies. NGOs that are funded totally or partially by governments, retain a non-governmental status and excludes government representatives from membership in the organisation.
