Westminster Council has gone to market looking for maintenance and support services for its Oracle-based information management system.
The deal, stated to be of up to one year's duration, is said to be worth up to £1m and the winning supplier will be expected to host and maintain all relevant hardware and software.
A contract of that length is not unusual, but is relatively short term, and is all to do with planned 2012 go-live of a new integrated ERP system, says the authority.
Westminster also wants application software, BACS processing and cheque payments and problem resolution to be covered in any proposed contract.
Achieving a fully operational Westminster information management system is the paramount goal, says the tender.
