Improvement East, the Regional and Improvement Partnership (RIEP) for the East of England, has announced a spend analysis project, looking at 41 district and borough councils including Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Essex.
The analysis and report will be carried out by tender winner and supply management software and services company, BravoSolution, which will present its findings in May. Improvement East will then spend three-months accessing and analysing the data, allowing the organisation to conduct further analysis across the region.
“By working with BravoSolution, our region’s authorities will be able to quickly analyse all expenditure, ensuring that that are able to easily identify areas of spend that can be harmonised or reduced,” says David Ellis, assistant director at Improvement East.
“Our partnership also has the ability to analyse the data further over a period of time via BravoSolution’s online data analysis facility. This will be a huge benefit as authorities won’t just receive an output from the initial analysis, they will get the use of a highly-valuable service for a number of months that will help them to understand their spend in even more detail.”
“We are delighted to be working with Improvement East on this Spend Analysis project,” says Nader Sabbaghian CEO, BravoSolution. “Our proven track record in this space will help to ensure that authorities in the East of England are quickly able to identify opportunities to reduce costs or where they can collaboratively procure goods and services from the same suppliers. At a time when public sector expenditure is under the spotlight more than ever before, this will be a great way for these authorities to ensure their resources are being utilised as efficiently as possible.”
BravoSolution was awarded the project following a competitive tender amongst all of the organisations within the Buying Solutions Spend Analysis framework agreement.
