Public sector Cloud may add to carbon footprint, says Greenpeace

Cloud Computing initiatives, such as the planned G-Cloud, could end up producing a massive carbon footprint according to Greenpeace, which has criticised Cloud vendors for building massive coal-powered data centres.
Many private and public sector organisations argue that Cloud Computing does greatly improve energy usage and emissions totals, however.
