Guy Ker is the new Director of Publishing. He is a former Managing Editor of Channel Four News and his last post was Chief Operating Officer at ITN.
Guy will be responsible for publishing government information and services for citizens across all Directgov digital channels - web, mobile and TV - and ensuring the smooth running of publishing across Directgov. He will be championing Directgov to all government stakeholders and maintaining the proposition for citizens - as a clear, easy to use and trusted channel.
Mike Hoban is the new Director of Communications and Engagement. He joins with a wealth of experience from big consumer brands including British Airways, Scottish Widows and Barclaycard.
Mike's main objectives will be to ensure the Directgov brand is foremost in people's minds, and that its position is bolstered across government. Mike will be looking after marketing and communications, both outward facing to the public, and across all of government.
David Matthewman becomes the new Director of Product Infrastructure and Technical Capability (CTO). David will be responsible for the overall technical strategy and its delivery for Directgov. This includes liaising with counterparts across government to achieve the most effective outcomes for citizens, Directgov and the whole of government.
He was previously the IT Director for BGL group, a leading insurance intermediary, and led the technology delivery for internal brands including Bennetts, Budget and ComparetheMarket.com and for prestigious partners including Post Office, HSBC, Marks and Spencer and Autotrader.

The Directgov appointments are soon to be followed by an exciting new marketing campaign that will show how people can benefit from accessing the increasing number of government services through Directgov.
